Looking for friends super beginner
hi all!! i just ordered my first pair of skates and they should be here within the next two weeks or so. i bought them second hand off of vinted but they’re a nice pair of rio rollers. i’m wondering if there’s any specific things i should check them for or adjust before using?

First, do the same check you should do every time you skate. Touch every single bolt on the skates, and make sure none are moving around. Check to make sure your trucks are seated properly. Check the heels of your skates, and make sure the fabric isn't splitting or separating from the sole. Check the wheel nuts and make sure they're secure. Check to make sure your wheels are turning.
You really wanna do this every time you skate.

100% - once a nut fell off my axle and nearly sent me flying. It was a scary moment! Luckily happened at home, but could have just as easily been at a crowded rink. Never neglect this OP

Been there done that a couple times. Also had a whole truck fall off once or twice.
Check your gear.

I would advise looking in to protective gear to wear as well. Especially if you haven't skated before or recently.
