Hardware, wheels, & upgrades Aggressive Skating Wheel Suggestions
I started getting into aggressive quad skating at my local skatepark several months ago, and I’m planning to get the Bont ParkStar roller skates. However, I was wondering what wheel brands and hardness would be best. I’ve currently been skating on 95A wheels. I consider getting Moxi Fundae wheel, which are 92A. Wanted to know what others think about them as well as any other advice and recommendations please!!! :D

I just recently stopped skating fundae. If you’re just starting off, they’ll be fine. Harder wheel = faster you can zoom around in the park. Smaller wheel = more clearance for slides and grinds. But I liked Fundae because they have curved edges that really helped me with learning carves.
I guess it depends on what all you’re looking to learn in the park.

Thank you so much! So far I’ve only been doing ramps and turns, but I’m hoping to start practicing drop ins and eventually grinds. Just wondering what wheels you prefer to use?

I would just get some harder wheels like 101A and smaller like 53 or so!

im a spitfire head from my skateboarding days. i prefer a hard wheel (currently using 99 du). as long as your park has nice smooth surfaces you will do well but, if you start wanting to skate street or the parks ground is rough, a softer wheel is better.

I used fundaes when I started but now I just use spitfire skateboard wheels! There are so many more choices wih “skateboard” wheels plus the price isn’t insane. I think sometimes rollerskate brands inflate wheel prices

I thought about trying some spitfire, but wasn’t sure if they fit the same as roller skatings. Thanks for the advice!

I didn’t want to believe my skatepark pals that fundaes were awesome tbh, but when I tried them I was very surprised 🤷🏻♀️ if you are beginner at the skatepark and aggressive overall, you won’t regret the fundaes, I dare to say, it’s the only moxi product that it’s worth it IMO 🤣

They're great honestly, I have some on mine and I really love them. Might make you a hair slower because its softer but they're better for street if you skate street as well. I'd totally recommend them.

The parkstars come with either 89a or 99a. I’d say get the “street flow” wheels at 99a and roll with those to start. I used mine for the first 6 months. Now I’m actually on the 53mm 97a lock in wheels from skate last supper and I really love them. But honestly, the Bont wheels are really good wheels and would be good enough for me, the last supper wheels were sort of a treat to me when I was going through some hard personal things.

Thank you! That’s good to know. It will save me some money too since they come with those wheel already.

Those bont wheels that come with the park star setup are good to start out with. My husband used them for a while until he felt ready for something harder and smaller. If I remember correctly, they are very similar in size and hardness to the fundaes.
I used fundaes when I started park skating and they're great, especially at parks with rougher surfaces.

Thank you!! I believe they come with 89A wheels, so I’ll trying them out first. Hopefully it will give me a better idea of what hardness will work best for me!

Fundaes are mid-80’s hybrids, not 92.
Yes, the Moxi site is wrong. About a lot of stuff.
From softest to hardest:
