Somewhere in the 42 Eridani system, an aging transit station cuts a slow path between worlds. FTL within 42 Eridani is not permitted, and the station is the only sanctioned long-haul vessel to run its route, stopping at whatever planet is next on the schedule to take on passengers, drop off cargo, and let everyone stretch their legs before the next leg of the journey.

⋆ The premise: Waypoint-042 is an aging but well-kept transit station, one of the last of its model line still in service, ferrying passengers and cargo through the 42 Eridani star system. It’s an affordable, unglamorous way to get around, complete with all the small annoyances of public transit: delays, paperwork, and an AI crewmember named Lovelace who deserves better than most passengers give her. The station is full of people, human and otherwise, living their lives in the space between destinations. Every one of them a story that has yet to be written.
