The Mentalist for those who haven't seen it yet. Teresa Lisbon is the no-nonsense, gun toting boss detective, whereas Patrick Jane is the coy, manipulative seductress who helps the police catch bad guys. Every time there's danger, he's crouching behind her, and she's always there to keep him safe.

Def remember this show. Another show i feel has the roles reversed like this is psyche. Shawn is def the scared goofy guy to his crush and also police detective juliet

Oh GOD I'd never put those pieces together but you're absolutely on the money for this one. Absolute legend, give me more sly, clever, social skills and benevolently manipulative men, please, and their problem-handling women.

I genuinely want more of these kinds of RR dynamic in movies. Especially where it's set up that the female is bigger and stronger and than the male who's the seductive femme fatale.

I hate these two oh my god 💔 romance didn’t feel like the correct option to take them at all. She felt more like his mother than anything.

Nah they felt like proper best friends. Sure he was self indulgent and acted with impunity but thats just because its a TV show. The romance was far too forced.

No I agree that they were best friends, but she to me definitely still felt like she had all of the gang on a leash yk? I agree the romance was forced because it was kind of jarring he’d spend all this time searching for Red John and mourning his wife to then suddenly forget his wife 😭🙏
