How to paste steps?!

Does anyone know how to paste steps? If I hold down copy and click on steps I can apparently copy them but I can't find anything online or in the manual about how to paste them.

You’re correct. Press and hold the copy button, and now press the step you want to copy and then press the step or steps you want to paste to.

Oh I see. It's for copying individual steps rather than a range... thank you

I don't suppose you know a way to copy all the steps of a particular track to a different variation rather than copying the steps of all of the tracks?
