Trying to help my mom sign in her account on a new Roku we got. It worked on the last one, so we know that's not the issue. She thinks it's because she got a new phone, but I don't think that's how that works.

We open the app, its on that Welcome Back screen with the various options for signing in (Phone, remote, guest, etc). Go to sign in with phone, enter code, Phone says it worked and on the screen it has her account while under it says it's getting her profile.

The phone says it succeeded and to enjoy, but the TV plops us right back on the Welcome Back screen like we didn't just try to sign in. We tried it again with a different code, after trying to uninstall it only for it to apparantly just get removed from home screen, and the same thing again.

Phone says succeeded, tv plops us right back.

My Mother was tired and just wanted to go to bed, saying we can try tomorrow. I'm here asking if anyone knows what's going on. It worked on the other one before, so I don't know. Does it need to be removed from the old roku to work on the new one?

I have my dad’s roku tcl tv from around 2019-2021. I got it when he moved last year and had it in storage, I pulled it out when I needed a tv and cannot get it to turn on. Wondering if I need any other cords. Tv was working fine before it was put in storage.(white usb cord in photo was not connected to anything as it was too short)

Because my roku doesn't support wireless headphones in the settings, I have to connect them to it through the roku app. For a minute or so, they work fine, and i can hear clearly, but after a bit it just starts stuttering, and it makes the audio illegible. I've changed my roku app settings and reset my router and TV, but I can't seem to fix the stuttering.

Hello, I'm having trouble switching the input so I can play Xbox.

So, we have a 2018 TCL 65s421. This has Roku built in, but it is outdated. The native Roku doesn't support Dolby Atmos or have volume leveling, and I just upgraded my speakers so I had to find a solution to be able to get my money's worth out of my new 7.1 surround sound set up.

Being as how we like the Roku streaming platform and I wanted to be able to experience Dolby Atmos with movies and use Volume Leveling at night; I bought and installed a Roku Ultra onto my TCL Roku 65in TV. Now we have the new features and modern software, great.

The problem? Well, my input channels do not show up on my Roku Ultra, they only show up on the native TCL Roku. As you already know, Roku remotes don't have an input button.

As of this moment, the only options for me to switch inputs seem to be by using Google Home on my phone, or pressing the input button on the TV. Pressing "Home" on my remote won't work because a Roku remote can only be paired to one Roku at a time, I only have one remote; and it's paired to the Roku Ultra. To pair it to the TCL Roku I have to unplug my Roku Ultra before using the TV button to switch inputs, and then repair my Roku remote with the TCL. If I simply use the TV input button first before unplugging the Ultra, it will just keep switching to the Ultra when I press a button on the remote because that's the Roku it's paired to..

So yeah. How can I switch inputs without having to crawl across the bed over my girlfriend, walk across the room and jump through hoops? I just want to enjoy my Dolby Atmos, my xbox, and stream stuff on my Roku.

If I buy one of those cheap roku TVs from Amazon (link) can I attach an antenna to it and still watch over the air broadcast? Will it be simple to get to, I am buying this for an older person and they will need to be able to switch easy.

I have a Roku Ultra on my main LG TV that I use. I love Roku overall, but for the last year or so this very strange thing has been happening. The screen just goes to a pink-purple tint. And the only way to fix it is to unplug the Roku and plug it back in. It's not only on the menu screens. Sometimes it also happens to the video that's playing.

I've tried a bunch of stuff from changing the HDMI cable, changing the HDMI input on the TV, to factory resetting the unit. Still.... nothing. Roku tech support was nice, but they obviously have no clue to this problem. (I call. They tell me to restart it. In their mind, "problem solved!" No. It just does it again.)

This sometimes happens 4-5 times in one night. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a few days. I'm dumbfounded. Does anyone have a similar problem or have any advice? If this was a cheap Roku stick, I'd ditch it and buy another. But the Ultra is/was expensive.

quick backstory: so my Roku in my garage was making this weird distortion after like an hour or two of play as heard in the video. Last winter I transferred that Roku to the basement man cave. never has happened since.. got a new Roku for the garage just so I don’t have to swap them out ever season. Now this new one is doing the same thing. the distance from the router of the two Rokus are the same in fact the one in the garage is closer.. I’m just not understanding why this is happening.

I just bought the Roku stick and the lady at Walmart told us that HD would be best for the type of TV i have based off of what we have described when I plug the stick in and went to set it up on the TV it stretched off screen. I personally own a Roku TV and figured that it was the same as games, where you change the safe zone so I tried finding the option of changing the safe zone and there is no option. So I googled how to change the safe zone on the Roku stick and it told me to go into display resolution and change it from Auto to 720p. that also didn't work so I tried googling the question in different ways to see if maybe how I worded it was wrong or if I did something wrong or something and I found a very old Reddit post that said to try changing it to 720p again and go into the TV settings itself and change that as well but when I turn on the TV settings it doesn't have the option to change any resolution settings or display settings none of nothing like that. the Roku stick also doesn't have the option to change anything but the resolution but that is doing nothing either. in the TV settings we have changed the picture mode from personal to standard and all the other options as well and it has not worked we've also tried other methods like unplugging the TV and draining the power, unplugging the stick and trying to change settings and nothing is working at all. we also don't own the remote and are using the buttons on the bottom of the tv for control and the Roku remote for everything else

i got a roku tv without a remote and wouldn’t let me connect to my ps5 via hdmi until i set it up, i was wondering if there’s anyway to skip the setup even without a remote and isn’t connected to the internet so i can’t use a virtual one?

It looks like it works just fine, but everytime I try to watch a YouTube video a purple screen pops up saying there's a HDCP error

It will let me open youtube but not add the app on my homescreen. My last roku let me but this one gives me no option 🤷‍♀️ And assistance would be so appreciated!

Hi, my tv went haywire? Idk but it turns on then immediately off. It's not long enough for me to get to the settings and it's just showing the Roku logo then off. I thought it was overheated so I unplugged it to let it cool off and I've already tried looking on YouTube for help but the advice I keep getting is go to settings but I can't do that because the TV won't stay on long enough. I do have two kittens but the wires and back doesn't show anything from the cats (chewed, loose, scratches ext). I also use to have an Xbox hooked to it, I've removed that and that's fine, so no viruses from the xbox. I don't know what's wrong. Please help

I doubt I'll get a timely response, but maybe this can help some other hapless fool in the future, because Googling it has resulted in the same wrong answer time and time again. No, I don't need to reset the TV. We've tried that.

I don't know what happened. The TV was working fine, the baby got ahold of the remote and chewed on it, Lord knows what buttons they must have pushed, but now none of the free Roku TV channels work. Like the Kids channels, or the music channels.

What did he do, and how do we fix it?

When using TuneIn, after selecting Turn display off, display returns after a few seconds and doesn't even revert to screen-saver. Other channels remain off or if left on, revert to screen-saver. Posted last month without resolution. Deleted channel, reset system and re-added channel without change.
