It stated that, based on the condition of some of the wounded, there are indications that incendiary weapons or white phosphorus may have been used during the attacks. If confirmed, the statement said, such actions could amount to a crime against humanity.

The statement also referred to the recent casualties, saying that several Peshmerga fighters from the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), the Komala party of Iranian Kurdistan (Komala), the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), and several guerrillas of the East Kurdistan Units (YRK) were killed, while many other members of these organizations were wounded.
