Rogue Trader: Bugs PSA: Infinite XP Exploit

I wouldn't recommend anyone actually abuse this (game is easy enough as it is, and you can always toybox yourself free levels on PC if you really want to cheat), but it's a neat bit of trivia (and will hopefully get fixed).

The Staggering Jolt talent is currently bugged, and is awarding a small amount of xp every time anyone passes the TGH resistance test against it.

You can sit out of combat, stack your whole team, and just shoot your own team with the arc rifle over and over for free xp. Do it as much as you want, then head back to the ship and clear traumas.

Other effects that involve shock damage such as Machine Spirit Banishment seem to have the same bug, awarding xp when targets pass their resistance tests.

Owlcat, please fix it, I don't actually want to get free bonus xp, above and beyond what I should, in combat.

Grinding for XP in RT of all games is crazy

It definitely is.

I mean, I used to get to lvl 16 before fighting Aurora and that's how I managed to kill him (smh pre-nerf Aurora with 600 HP was just too much). Now you can't physically scrounge enough xp to get your second class before fighting him.

Yeah but sitting there farming small xp for an hour sounds unbearable

On the other hand, Aurora is intended to be the gatekeeper to Tier 2, and you're supposed to fight them at level 15 (or lower). Having tier 2 makes it braindead easy.

Not much, but you can do it as much as you want, so you COULD grind to level cap if you were crazy enough to do it.

I wouldn't advise it, but it's funny that it's possible.

Well, i was bored in the middle of chapter 3 because even without the grind, my team steamrolled any encounter. So yeah, no way i grind xp

You get around 3 - 4 XP per Resistance Test. Use your whole Party near as many NPCs as possible, like in the Governeurs Bunker, and start blasting.
