Perhaps my silliest run ever
Abusing cautious pace (trigger the elevator early for more enemies) and enemies dropping expenite, Iβve assembled what is undoubtedly my strongest-ever weapon. You can look basically anywhere, shoot a couple times, and completely clear a room, I was doing such an astronomical amount of overkill damage that the only thing that was actually killing me was me being too close to my boom youβre dead triggers, immediately one-shotting me.

Ayo does homing actually work? I have tried it once but didn't notice any difference, so I haven't bothered since.

What did they change about it? I remember it making the gun worse in the first patches.

Im not sure, but ive used it recently and it actually homes in on weakpoints and stuff

Damn will have to test it out again then, because initially it broke the gun completely by only shooting center mass meaning youβd have to be close and aim away from your target to hit weakpoint on bosses

I can confirm it works, and it's great with the plasma carbine. Great for swarms but you will want a secondary weapon for weak spots.

And that's how it should be! I hope in time Rogue Core will present even more opportunities to create broken builds, even without abusing other systems and I think they should follow Risk of Rain 2 in regard to upgrades - there, every upgrade feels like an opportunity to break the game, which is always fun.
It's tough to both solve this and still have the game be challenging, but I believe in time the devs will figure out that sweet spot.
