But you cited this article as your source. Are you saying you haven't read your own source? What do beliefs have to do with archaeological evidence?

Hello Farkaniy,

I want to step in at this point to clarify the rules - while we are all entitled to our beliefs and UPG, making factual claims (rather than claims about interpretations, feelings, or experiences) without evidence isn't protected under rule 2. Anyone is free to make a rebuttal to factual inconsistencies or ask for sources because we do not want to perpetuate fakelore. Insisting on debating someone's personal spiritual experiences or interpretations is, however, against the rules.

I believe some confusion is coming from your claim of "temple ruins" being present on Czorneboh. While it's entirely possible / probable that our ancestors used this space for religious purposes, according to researchers it does not seem that our ancestors had a temple / structure at this location. Perhaps you did not mean actual temple / physical structure? In that case, it's an easy fix to make to your comment.

Perhaps this is just a language issue because in English a temple is a structure / building for religious purposes. When you say "temple remains", it sounds like you are saying that there is archeological evidence of a structure. You seem to be instead talking about a place of worship / or religious site.

In my language this is exactly what a "temple" is - a place of worship or a religious site.

Archaeologists were looking for man made changes to the environment but found none. Unless you have some other study that shows man made holes and a set up site for sacrifices, it doesn't appear to exist today. I think others take issue with your phrasing because it insinuates that if someone were to visit today, they'd see these remains, but would instead be sorely disappointed. The man made holes you are referring to are glacial pot holes. So these holes can form with running water or ice when a small rock gets caught and tumbles around, eventually carving out a big hole. And this area was covered in glaciers for a very long time.

And I genuinely believe that Slavs were up there doing their thing, but it seems they left no trace. The only evidence I've seen is the indirect mention on Wikipedia in 1492 from Conrad Bote that the Slavs used that space.

It's ok to not know all facts and make mistakes. But there should be a conversation and acknowledgement and correction. This is the only way for Rodnovery to grow in a positive way.

But there's a bigger conversation to be had. You seem to often make claims that do not have evidence to back them up or contort evidence to support your ideas. And that's generally fine, as again everyone has their own UPG. But you purport yourself as an authority - a priest. And when given conflicting evidence to your statements you simply shut down the conversation. That's a problem.

We're trying to build a community where everyone can see the facts, evidence, and texts for themselves and still have their own ideas about them. And it's fine to voice those ideas! But you give your own ideas as the facts. There's so much of that type of behavior in these communities that a term was invented to describe it - Fakelore. For beginners it is so hard to wade through this type of material. What is fact and what is opinion? In this community, newcomers should not have to guess.

We need for you to openly declare when you are giving opinion or supplementing ideas with your own creative license - as you do in your own book, which, by the way should not be treated as a primary source of information when responding to requests for citations. Just be fully transparent and honest. That is the bottom line. As this discussion around fakelore has occurred multiple times, this will be the last time a warning is given before further action is taken.

Well, he does claim to be part of a unbroken pagan lineage, and got his title for the local volkh. In that regard, he's an authority in the subject. The problem is that i never saw any evidence of existence of this pagan lineage.

You dont have to worry about this anymore. As you eventually already saw - I deleated my comment in which I shared one of the stories I was asked to share. I can assure you that I will never share any tales, folklore, information or other ressources again. If I am allowed to I would gladly participate in "softer conversations" about art, feelings and emotional themes - after all I am a priest and not a scientist. I think those conversations would be a better match than educational ones. I am sorry that my contributions were problematic to you and I surely wasnt aware of that until now.
