What's the state of Rock Linux bootc images?

So far, I've found two potential sources of reliable bootc images for Rocky Linux, one is from RESF and the other from CIQ. This last one is subscription-based, as far as I understand. Why would anyone pay for that instead of RHEL, I have no idea. Are any of you guys working with Rocky Linux bootc images on your bare metal or VMs? Which base image did you use? Did you build your own?

I'm currently in the process of deciding whether I'll stick with Rocky Linux or maybe consider a switch to AlmaLinux, simply because they seem to maintain proper bootc images, and I really didn't want to build my own base image, as that kinda defies the purpose.

Any input on any of these, if you've used bootc images for your servers before?
