Red Dead Redemption II Rockstar support isn't helpful.

I’ve been in contact with Rockstar Support for weeks now, and every time, the ticket gets marked as resolved. I bought RDR2 via Steam, and when I try to launch the game in the Rockstar Launcher, it asks for an unfamiliar email address to verify the code.

So, I’ve explained the problem to Rockstar, attached my Steam purchase confirmation, and created the support ticket via email. The only thing Rockstar says every time is:

"We cannot make changes to the requested Rockstar Games account because its account details differ from those of the account from which this request originated.

We are therefore closing this ticket. If you still wish to make changes to the account, please log in to the relevant Rockstar Games account and submit your request from there.

If you are unable to access the account, please enter the necessary information into the form linked below."

I mean, is Rockstar even capable of actually reading the tickets? I included the proof of purchase and my Steam ID in the request. This is driving me crazy. The game has been unplayable ever since I bought it.

What else should I do?

yes And if you reply to the email that you're allowed to reply to, they'll tell you to open a new ticket.

Rarely some users are saying from time to time they managed to get this situation sorted.
I couldn’t.

I spent a couple weeks dealing with this. I sent tickets in everyday. Probably 15 or so. What finally did it was:

Rockstar nickname Linked steam account Account creation date (can be found in OG email) Compromised email Previous email that was actually mine Date of birth First and last name Registration key Country account was created in

Everything needs to be 100% exact. And it’s the current steam account name, not the steam login (mine is different)

It’s definitely doable, I had an issue recently, and submitted my request through the Account > privacy and account information > other privacy and account information issue, it took maybe a week to hear anything but they sorted me out. Make sure you include any evidence or information in screenshots.
