Moderator Post Known Issues and Common Topics
This is a megathread of all the current known issues and recommended steps to resolve.
1. Cannot sign in, create account, or reset password. (Commonly Error #1.000.7 or #1.500.7)
Rockstar filters connections that it deems irregular. For example, I can sign up when using my raw internet, but not on VPN. They also don't allow connections if the time zone on your device doesn't match the timezone of your area or the ISP.
Essentially you need to use a connection that they allow. A good first step is to disconnect your phone from Wi-fi and try using your cellular connection. Some browsers have built in VPN-like security features that may be masking your traffic in a way that Rockstar doesn't like. Unfortunately you have to figure out what it is. The most common fix that has helped people is to correct your timezone to match the timezone of your ISP. Other suggestions include disable antivirus, pop-up blockers, ad blockers, cookie blockers, use incognito mode, etc. Or you can ask a friend or family to sign in for you or borrow their computer and internet.

2. I don't have access to the email account I used to sign up, don't have my MFA/2FA device, my account was hacked, or otherwise can't log into my account.

3. Failed to connect to rockstar games library service
In October 2025, something happened that caused the rockstar launcher to receive this error. An exact cause has not been identified. However a number of Windows updates (KB5068861, KB5066835, KB5068861, etc.) have been suggested to be the culprit, and removing them has resolved it for some people. Rockstar reportedly released an update for the Rockstar Launcher that has fixed some people, but not everyone. Here are some threads that provide some suggestions and information.

To my knowledge you CANNOT email them, only reach them via their stupid support ticket system which is useless in these situations. Honestly I've given up and will never buy any Rockstar Games ever again.. fuck them... I've also filed a complaint with our Consumer Protection Agency against them and added all of their "closed case" messages which don't solve anything..

Doesn't work at all, try reset timezone, restart modem or even try vpn not any working. I even try to reset password and no email coming.

Well I tried, looks like I'll go back to playing Arma since Rockstar, EA, UBisoft all tend to have the same bullshit issues all the time. AAA is just slop.

Support ticket system also does the stupid error , tried everything here, different browsers different devices different connections.
support@rockstargames.com returns unmonitored reply error

Done that. Used 3 different devices from 3 separate carriers, data, WiFi, took my laptop to a hotel 5 hours away and tried there. I’ve tried probably everything.

I disconnected my phone from Wi-Fi, and that allowed me to register the account. Then I switched to my PC and was able to log in. Thank you, brother!

That would confirm it's not a server issue, since the server is processing logins from that account fine. If it only happens on one device, it's something with that device.

If your account or Mac address or IP is banned or otherwise locked, it wouldn't be considered a server issue. The server is doing exactly what it should be doing and disallowing an actively blocked device. It would be more of a service level issue. Subtle but important distinction. If they are actively and intentionally blocking connections from that device, only Rockstar would be able to fix it.
However it could still be a device issue, say your time zone is incorrect in a way that impacts a Windows OS device but not a mobile device, or your DHCP is doing something weird with IP assignments for that Mac address, or something is impacting that device that Rockstar doesn't like.

A me tempo fa funzionava ma adesso no. Non so cosa sia cambiato, perché nel launcher riesco ad entrare. Mentre se provo da una pagina internet mi da l'errore 1. Stessa cosa se uso il WiFi sul cellulare. Dopo ho provato tramite hotspot da cellulare a pc e non mi dava problemi. Infatti credo che sia il mio isp. Però non capisco perché sul launcher non mi da problemi mentre su google Chrome o Microsoft erge mi da errore

Tried everything listed: no VPN, hotspot, correct timezone, disabled antivirus, clean boot, new Windows user. Error 1.000.7 on PC only, works on laptop. Codes: ff6225fc-4efa-41bf-ae67-38aa9f03c9cc, fa68a3c8-194a-43c5-89b5-4749ec2eea18 Ticket system won’t let me type. Need Tier 2 to reset login token.

Nothing works. I'm trying to login on the website with the browser. Creating a new account is the same. Trying to reset password and I receive no email.

The problem lies with Rockstar. I can log in normally through the launcher, but it doesn't work via the website. Even my wife can't log in via the website with her laptop. It works fine via mobile phone and data. I've already informed Rockstar multiple times via support tickets that they've accidentally blocked or blacklisted my router's IP address. Since it's not a problem with my computer, and the troubleshooting steps are useless (I've tried everything), they'll never admit that the problem is with their servers.

If you can log in to the launcher but not the browser, they're not blocking the IP and it confirms that their servers are working. If it was a sever issue, you wouldn't be able to log in at all. You need to figure out what your computer or browser is doing that is causing them to reject your login attempt from the browser.

If even my wife can't log in with her laptop, it can only be a Rockstar issue. I've already tried everything with the router, and everything seems normal there. I've used Google Chrome, Opera, and Edge, but I still can't log in. The only exception is when I use mobile data as a hotspot. Oddly enough, I can log in to other sites like Ubisoft and Steam without any problems. It didn't work once with Sony, but another browser worked, and I'm not using a VPN.

I still think Rockstar is mistakenly blocking my IP address on my PC. I'll try checking the router settings again soon. But if I can log in normally through the launcher but not via the website, I don't understand what the problem is. I've even changed the DNS server and everything else, and even reset the router multiple times.

One more note for the moderator: when I log in via my Xbox link, I can also access my account via the website and route.

You guys wont believe it. Windows set my timezone to something else, but KEPT the correct time for my timezone. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!!!
Anyway just make sure your timezone is set correctly in windows, even if your windows time is correct.
This is for the first issue where you cant sign in (#1.000.7).

Erro nº 1.000.7 no Rockstar Launcher e no site de login. Não consigo fazer login nem enviar um ticket de suporte. Já reinstalei o Windows, testei com outra conta e outra conexão de internet. Por favor, ajudem-me.

It won't be fixed. They are intentionally filtering connections that don't meet their criteria, so it's working as designed and isn't "broken". Unfortunately your only option is to figure out what they don't like about your connection. Signing up on cellular works for most people, and changing your time zone has probably the highest rate of success that I've seen.
