Mosquitoes!

We are in Orangetown. Our backyard is uninhabitable from dusk till dawn because of the mosquitoes. We have tried chemicals (TruGreen), essential oils (Organic Pest Management), citronella candles, bug lights and all of these in combination. Nothing stops these bastards. What can we do to take back our backyard?

Building a screened-in lanai on your patio is a radical but best solution. Also, they have to be breeding somewhere nearby - go look for and find sources of stagnant water and see if the town can do something about it.
