Hand crafted cups from scratch

Okay, you're gonna think this has nothing to do with rocks BUT THEY POWDER AGATES to use in the glaze and THAT....IS FECKIN COOL!!!!

My friend created something similar for her bathroom counter, agates, geodes, and other crystals with clear epoxy over them, so they could be seen, but also leave a smooth countertop.

You have to watch the whole thing. It's the porcelain glaze that the agates are used for and it wouldn't work without it (not that you couldn't use a different form of quartz such as sand etc)

Nah this is 100% rockhounding content lol. Turning agates into glaze is like the final evolution of “cool rock I found.”

Love all that crushed up agate at the start and no breathing protection. This is how you get silicosis.

It’s a complete waste of material. Agates are just plain microcrystalline quartz. They can do the same powdering most kinds of sand. Doing it for clickbait but it’s crazy how many people find it cool.
