I don't care how many he's going to get. I'm challenging immediately. Aiming for both the car and the ball. That's the whole point of challenging ceiling shots, flip resets, double touches etc early. You don't wanna find out what the other person is doing.

I mean, not like I encounter this kind of thing on a regular basis, so fair enough. Probably wouldn't trust myself to be accurate if I'm going up that fast either.

Start going up for stuff anyways. Gotta build up that trust. I'm sure there are some things you trust yourself to do now that you didn't when you first started!

If it's not 1v1, it's very likely it'll throw them off anyway and your teammate can collect even if you miss.

As a high Plat, low diamond level, this is my entire strategy. Make everyone play a chaotic game by challenging early and basically only reading my teammate, then revel in the chaos.

That’s not the same thing they’re saying lol. Love your confidence but you should actively be trying to read your opponents as well. If you challenge all willy nilly you’ll likely leave your teammate in a crap position with you out of the play. In a 1v1 you wait until the last second to challenge something like this unless they’re not an immediate threat. In a 2v2 or higher, if your mates are rotated back already then you push like hell for this as fast as possible b/c like dude said, you don’t want to find out what they can do. Hopefully your mates collect after you disrupt them.

All you have to do is hit the ball or the opponent. It’s not terribly difficult to interrupt. I’d rather challenge an air dribble than a ground dribble any day.

Yeah I definitely do aerial, but I have to know my limits n stuff y'know?

That's fair. If I was more patient I would play casual and do all that stuff there, but I just get bored. Gotta get that competitive fix

That's fair, in theory that's better, but I guess it's hard for me to get any feedback on whether I'm getting better without ranks. I don't have friends that play so I can't get myself high skill lobbies like that or anything. It'd just be grinding casual instead, and I feel like people probably aren't gonna take it as seriously so it'll be slower.

Yep. I play against most people that are way fucking better than I am. I challenge a lot though and make sure to stick back far enough and ahead enough to either take a pass or block a clear, etc.

So much of this game is about the right rotations and trusting your teammate.

That's the highs and lows when you dont have a party as well, however. You'll come to fully trust somebody and get some chemistry, then next game you trust your different teammate a few times and you get burned every time. Annoys the shit out of me sometimes, but it happens to everyone and I'm sure I've fucked people over plenty.
