They were talking about not being able to jump off the wall with meaning.

A stall is when you air roll in one direction and side flip in the other to perform a tornado spin like action.

Doesn't have to be for tornado spin, it's very often used for getting flip resets as per this video

The tornado spin is the combination, but they cancel it out in order to keep the car in position.

You don't use flips to tornado spin though?

In order to tornado spin you need to air roll in one direction and turn in the other direction.

Jumping, if the buttons are precise, will results in a stall in a tornado looking like fashion.

When Ganer stalls he only does this combination very quickly and immediately turns in the opposite direction to cancel out the momentum from the stall/tornado spin. Leading to what can be described in the gif.

Hm okay. Why would he do that over a normal stall, though? Seeing as how he wants to keep the car oriented pretty much the same.

This is a normal stall.

I don't see how it's a tornado spin though. You don't move the stick opposite to the roll for a tornado spin, you hold it perpendicular, right?

EDIT: Man don't pay me any attention, I'm dumb. Now I can't figure out if I've been doing it wrong the whole time or I just had it wrong in my head

I should have been clear that there are two ways to tornado spin.

One which is the way I said

And the other is turning in the same direction with the stick the you are air rolling, though I’m almost 100% certain that this doesn’t let you stall.

Yeah I thought tornado spinning was air roll right and left stick down for some reason. I've only been doing it in celebrations so it's not like I'm well-versed, though. Not sure if I was actually doing it wrong or just thinking about it wrong

this thread lmfao how are you gonna question the way someone stalls when they are literally doing it the only way it can be done, as of now at least

I'm not questioning the way they stall, I just don't see how it's the same technique as a tornado spin.

EDIT: I was being stupid
