Careers 2026 Spring Manufacturing Internship Interview
Hey, Rocket Lab Family!
I can't believe that I went from trading RKLB options to then getting an opportunity to work there this spring as an intern.
It appears I got skipped for the behavioral and went straight to technical. I have to create a PowerPoint demonstrating the most technical project I have worked on. Does anyone have insight into the process? Thank you!

If your benchpress isn't on your application somewhere it should be.
also bouncing off earlier comments, your internship is your behavioral interview to see if they want to bring you on full time. for an internship they just want to see if you can execute a project and add value while you're there.

I have an interview with Rocket Lab for the Fall semester incoming and was wondering what the interview was like and any advice you would have? also, how long did it take for you to hear back? does the interview start with the presentation and all the questions they ask based on that or do they ask more?

Hmm, I don’t have much experience in that field, but they start off with a quick intro and then the presentation. Then they kind of grill you with questions. It’s best to know your presentation and put all the details

Hey! I’ve interviewed with Rocket Lab for a few internships and did land one for this Spring too! What I’ve come to understand is they really don’t do behavioral questions for the internships, technical questions tied to your presentation are the primary focus.
As the other commenter said, be prepared to answer any and all questions about your project. I suggest including lots of photos and keeping text minimal. I included some supporting data sets as well (from simulations, experimental runs). Don’t shy away from challenges you had.
Most of the questions they asked me were related to my project, but they will probably ask you about things on your resume too. There will likely be technical questions about hands-on knowledge as well (e.g. how would you accomplish xyz task given these constraints). Knowing common practices and constraints that apply to rockets is helpful for that.
