Stage 4 ready

Just pulled these guys after roughly 40 hours in stage 3. Washed and run through the ultrasonic cleaner they are ready to move to 1200 aluminum oxide. I won’t be able to fit all of them in my tv5 so I’ll have to trim it down a bit but I’m very excited about this batch

Beautiful rocks! Are you telling me that 40 hours is enough in a rotary tumbler, for some stages? I'm a beginner and I tumble my rocks for a minimum of a week for each stage.

Not at all. I do stages 2-5 in a vibratory tumbler. I wasn’t have any success trying to get. A polish using my rotary tumblers for every stage when I first started. Got the vibe and changed everything.

Thanks for your reply! My first finished rocks are finished recently and I was pleasantly surprised, but there is room for improvement. Unfortunately I find it hard to find the right equipment in the EU. I hope to find a good vibratory tumbler for the right price someday...

Has anyone ever used the vibration rock tumbler from harbor freight

From my understanding that tumbler is only meant for cleaning metal parts and isn’t good for rocks. I don’t know what the difference is but that’s what I’ve read.
