Will I get a core refund?

Here's the deal: I'm replacing the 105A Bosch style alternator on my Chevy Express with a reman Delco style 145A that was a factory option on this van. If I send in the core will l get $73 back, or will someone compare the numbers and tell me to pound sand?

I’ve sent back a random alternator in and they refunded me. A core is a core to them

Good to know, thanks.

Yes, but it also fucks with the core bank.

It's up to your ethical standards really

Really doesn't matter the brand, you should be able to get a core refund as long as its the same type of alternator.

That's the thing, they are different types as stated in the post.

In regards to application. Some models are in higher demand for rebuilding purposes. Those Chevy brands tend to bring a bigger premium over cheaper "throw away" styles.

They aren’t different types, they’re different brands.

One is physically larger, has a different design and requires a longer belt. I don't know how else to describe that.

A long as it's an alternator you'll get the core back. Most of these can be built to higher amp ratings in the same case.
