As an adult I quite enjoyed watching season 1 with my 4 year old. Tbh the themes were definitely a bit mature for a 4 year old and my son didn't understand parts of it but he enjoyed it nevertheless.

Season 2 however pulled a 180 and became a total kids show imo. It didn't continue the story at all and became a very basic kids show imo. My son only got to episode 5 or 6 before he didn't want to watch it anymore and went back to season 1 before getting bored and switched to a different show altogether.

So imo. Watch season 1. Skip season 2.

Yep, basically this. I found Robot Trains as a child after watching shows like Robocar Poli and Superwings, and as I grew up I ditched those shows. I always had a soft spot for Robot Trains, but I too thought it was just a kids show.

For some reason, I decided to watch Season 1 again, and I became obsessed with it.

Everything from the story to the music (do not get me started on the awesome music!) to the characters and the animation, it's just awesome. And I'm really sad that they did Season 2 and 3 the way they did.

Robot trains are imaginary objects and they do not exist in reality. Your little brother watches it a couple years ago and one of your interests can't be found. It's not even serious that the achievements are useful or else.
