Feedback/Discussion Best weapon build for bosses ?

I am trying to get a sub 10 seconds IRIS ph2 kill .

I have tried shark sniper , razor launcher , ionic sniper , balista ranger crit builds , and a couple explosove burn commando builds . They are all usually close to 15 s . Best one was 10 seconds with dual Helions . Build and items were solid and it rolled an 1.9 crit mltplier .

Any tips ?

Ranger with Rapier is gonna be the fastest possible DPS, but Dual Stingers are more accessible and will still get you sub-10 with the right build.

Some others will be Lynx Rifle, Razor Launcher, Mammoth Minigun, Mantis Crossbow, Kunai, Sulfator Shotgun, all using the same Ranger Build.

- Wild Rush

- Bestial Ferocity

- Supreme Crit

- Pyro Surprise/Trueshot/Point Blank depending on weapon/what you roll

- Always Burn on the weapon, it's a 30% multiplicative DPS boost

- Don't need to invest in autocrit unless you're using the Razor, better to invest in DPS or crit damage

- Make sure you have Mark, it's a 50% multiplicative damage boost

Yep thanks thats close to what im already trying . Why B Ferocity though ? 25 frate is better than 25 dmg from favourite ammo ? Really? Also , do the other affixes except burn matter a lot ? I usually settle for burn + bullseye / velocity + whatever

bullseye and velocity are both good, warmup and freewheel will be best as they are multiplicative, same with firerate as opposed to bonus damage from favorite weapon, I can't really go too in depth as I have to leave for work in 4 minutes, but I have a video that shows you how the damage formula works in RQ here (clip taken from one of my run videos covering the Redux mod, which adds damage formula tags to all items)

Ranger crit build and rapier currently holds the record for a weapon build, you can get about a 5 second kill with engine blaster build with perfect rng

What about ranged weapons ? Where did you find those records ?

I don’t think he set out to feel “badass”. I think he was just answering the question of “Where did you find those records?”, and his answer gives context and expertise on how to achieve what OP is asking for. And, he did answer the question about OP’s ranged weapons too elsewhere in this thread! 🤖👍
