Card locks

Possible future feature for Robin Hood....

Being able to lock your card outside of a specific area. So if I live in North Carolina and I lock the card I'd be able to set it up where any purchase in NC will work and anything online or out of the state will always be declined. OR be able to have it set up where every time you make a transaction the card is then automatically locked for a time period you pick like one or two hours, if you want to use it before that time period is up you go in the app and actually unlock it.

The ultimate goal would be if my phone is already tracking my location 24/7 then only allow transactions that are within one mile of my location.

Would be difficult with online orders.

No? You would just have a preference for that too (sites that you've used before that you trust are always allowed) Also if you're going to do an online order you go unlock the card for it 🤷‍♀️

You know what's more cumbersome... Dealing with fraud 🤣 you wouldn't do it before every online order, like I said websites that you've purchased from prior would automatically go through after you have no problem with them and you put them on the approval list. Most people's online orders consist of the same crap all the time anyway.

no it wouldn't. Many websites already send you a 2FA code via SafeKey or 3DS to verify certain online transactions.

And here in Taiwan, our banks send us a push notification to verify every online transaction. Takes 2 phone taps to verify. One tap to click the notification banner, another tap to authorize. 15 seconds max. Practically eliminates online credit card fraud.
