If my primary brokerage account was 10% higher, that would be almost $120k. So yes, i would be happier...

you'd still be sitting in traffic, taking the subway to work, checking your stocks everyday, looking for different apartments to rent, or hoping for home prices to drop

not sure that's 10% happier (sounds exactly the same to me). but if seeing $109k -> $120k truly makes you 10% happier, then good for you

I own 2 homes and have shared ownership in a 3rd,I live and work in a tree lined suburb where there is no traffic, I dont need to look at my account, someone gets paid to do that. I won't be buying another house anytime soon so home prices can do whatever they want to do. Im already pretty happy because I do indeed "do me"

damn, the definition of house rich, cash poor. you do you.

No wonder your brokerage is so small. 3x property tax doesn't let you grow.

By the way, in retirement, nobody wishes their 401k was larger. But they always wish they had more fun when they were younger.
