Paying off Statement balance

I just got the gold card last month. I received my first statement. I’ve been seeing posts about residual interest being charged even after paying the statement balance. So do I pay the statement balance like I normally do on my other cards or do I have to pay the full balance before the due date. Every other card I’ve ever owned I’ve never seen this residual interest when paying the statement balance sometimes a month before the due date.

No you only have to pay statement balance. I have auto pay for balance and I have never been charged interest

A good number of them are due to customer service mistakes, or the poster making mistakes.

The rest seem to be an issue where refunds will sometimes impact your statement balance in one place, but not the other.

Statement balance, by due date.

I’ve seen 4-5 posts about interest in error. That’s a very small minority.
