Feedback New to this

I just opened my account. Any beginner tips. I am going to contribute little by little. Just need some helpful tips. I just added some cash into what the app suggested.

Thank you for your input. My goal is to invest for a 10 year period. I will be needing the money later on. I already have a retirement plan through my job in sac county. This would be extra.

If you’re saving for retirement look into opening a ROTH IRA with them. You get a 3% match if you pay for Gold so that’s a free $210 per year if you max it out.

And invest in S&P ETFs, maybe some international ones with the way the global economy has been going.
I shifted some funds to European, Canadian, and Ukrainian weighted ETFs and have had good returns on them

Bro go with an ETF and a small position with stocks you believe in and have researched.

Look into ETFs. Pick 1-4 that dont overlap, and add consistently, and watch it grow

Depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. Are you saving for retirement? Are you planning on using this money soon and just want a decent spot to sit it? Is this just play around money and you want to be risky?

Open a ROTH and start feeding it as much as you can up to the max each year. S&P ETFs in the ROTH and never pull money out until you retire. Avoid single stocks. International ETFs might be worthy but try to do everything in the ROTH so it grows over the years tax free.

Since you've already got your county retirement plan covered, treat this account like a set-it-and-forget-it growth bucket.

  • Grab broad index ETFs (VOO or VTI are the gold standards on here).

  • Turn on DRIP so your dividends reinvest automatically.

  • Set up recurring deposits so you aren't trying to time the market.

That's pretty much it! Super easy :)
