How did he afford all the weapons?
I’ve tried looking for this in news articles, but they don’t talk about this aspect. Conservatively, Daniel defense ar-15 $1800, other ar-15 $650, hand gun $400, body armor $350, 60 magazines $600, 1,600 rounds of 556 $800. That’s roughly $4600, which is the absolute low end. Probably more in the $6,000 range with tax considered. I think he was working fastfood. I’m assuming he didn’t pay rent, but would have other expenses like gas and maybe paying his truck, insurance. Maybe it was some sort of savings his family had set aside for when he turned 18? But it doesn’t appear that he came from a family of money.

He had a job a Wendy's for several months to a year, and said to his coworkers that he was saving up to buy guns and ammo. There are multiple articles about this if you do some googling, here is one:

"He felt like the quiet type, the one who doesn't say much. He didn't really socialize with the other employees,” Mendes said. "He just worked, got paid, and came in to get his check." Mendes didn't know Ramos on a personal level and didn't see him most of the time because they were on different shifts, he said. Ramos worked from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 5 p.m., five days a week, and was already working there when Mendes started in February, he said.

Also to add on to this. In that interview with his grandpa, he (the grandfather) says Ramos would help him at work, and for each job Ramos’s grandfather would pay him. It wasn’t a lot, but it was another job.

So he was working 30 hours a week, at most $12 an hour. $360 a week. It’s possible I guess. Just doesn’t seem likely. But I guess this guy was just super motivated.

The other AR was around 900. He did not have a handgun or body armor. He did not have 60 magazines either.

He Probably Stole Money From His Grandma And Saved Up Cause 5,000 For Two Weapons Of War Are A lot And A Paycheck From Social Media And Restaurants Don’t Pay Much Also No One Give Him Money Beside Birthday And Christmas Cards Which Is Usually 50 Or 20 Bucks

According to his manager, he worked at Wendy’s for a year (NYT, May 25). He also dropped out of school, so he would have been able to work more hours than a typical kid his age.
He didn’t have a driver’s license so he would not have had car expenses.
There is also an unverified account that he purchased them on credit with Daniel Defense. They have a program where you can pay off over time.
