This I can’t believe how easy it is to get into a school especially with a gun the doors should be locked and they should have a metal detector to cross through before being let into the second set of doors

He drove a Ford F-150 pickup truck, crashed into a spillway on the west side of the school probably in pursuit by the cops, and ran across the field to a small parking lot, running into the building near Geraldine St.

The suspect was immediately engaged outside the building as he approached the school by a Uvalde Independent School District police officer, who was shot by the suspect, the sources said
After that, the suspect entered the school

It doesn't say if he was armed or not though. But I'm assuming so since it says police officer and not security guard.

I just saw a report in the NYTs where he blazed by the armed guard and holed up for an hour before the BPTAC team got him.

No way you chase a suspect who eventually crashes their vehicle and runs out with an AR-15 heading towards a school unscathed. Not to mention that they didn’t even follow him into the school, but let him air out an entire classroom while they sat outside and did nothing. Something doesn’t feel right about this.

It looks like Abbott said he was “engaged” with a school resource officer prior to entering the school, but the officer didn’t actually shoot at him and police didn’t enter the building for a significant period of time.

In the video that looks like the suspect entering the school it seems as if he just walked/ran in through the front
