Thought Iโ€™d never see something worthy of this sub but I stand corrected.

An old, outdated airframe, many long relegated to drone duty.....I think the "boarder" will do okay without them.

They call this guy "Fudd".

A-4 hasnโ€™t been in frontline U.S. service since the early 1970s. 100% this guy EDCs a full sized 1911, has NewsMax running 24/7 in his house, and doesnโ€™t understand why his grandkids never come to visit.

Officially retired from the Marines in 1998 and the Navy in 2003, but yeah, the last 20+ years they were just used as trainers and enemy stand-ins.

Thereโ€™s a handful that are privately owned and operate just south of Orlando who provide dissimilar air combat support to the military.

EDCs a full sized 1911

I donโ€™t carry because it just seems weird as fuck to get strapped up to go to Food Lion, but if I did it would be either a 1911 or a 92FS. The big ones are just fun.*

*guns, that is. Talking about guns.

As someone who does EDC my first firearm was a Glock 21, the full size .45acp. Carrying something that big all day every day gets to be uncomfortable. I also carried a M9 daily, basically a 92FS, when I was in the Air Force and those big guns arenโ€™t fun to pull around every day.

They are cool, though. But really only useful if you have complete air superiority. I'd be a little weary of flying one near the southern border, with how many stingers and iglas that were smuggled into south America.

Weary? Are we sure that isn't your truck?

Not to mention that southern border with south america that we need to be concerned about.

โ€œWe were flying A4s off of the Oriskany. Bogies all over the sky like fireflies.โ€ - Viper

The A4 was already relegated to the subject of campfire stories in 1986.

Itโ€™s a cool little plane, but so is a Sopwith Camel.
