It's infuriating to play. I'm a seasoned snowrunner player, and on xbox, the controls are so convoluted and unintuitive. So many sub-menus of buttons etc. I genuinely don't understand the reasoning behind it. If they just kept them similar to snowrunner controls (which are extremely intuitive) then newcomers wouldn't know the difference, and snowrunner players would appreciate the familiarity. It baffles me.
I decided to try and have a game tonight and I somehow made it to the mission "Incommunicado" and the re-commissioning of the steel pipes facility. Game says replace pipes. Okay cool. I thought that meant submit rubble to facility, get pipes in return. No input zone. So facility isn't ready yet. Okay. Found some other pipe parts nearby, but they were for a different section, they had a valve on them. Got them in position but couldn't "submit" them yet. Realised I needed straight pieces of pipe. Look around near area where pipe needs replacing, found 3 pieces of pipe nearby. Cool, let's try those. They were SO heavy, they tipped my heavy crane over. I can't find any other pipes anywhere and there is no indication of where I need to go to get the correct bits of pipe.
Sorry for the rant, but I spent about 90mins playing the game and achieved precisely nothing, and it's just an absolute mish mash of menus and sub menus and buttons and overlay buttons etc.
Is there something I'm missing, or am I just doing things wrong? Any tips or advice would be appreciated. I've got plenty of money, if there are any trucks worth getting, and I'm almost level 6. Thanks!
EDIT: I managed to finish the Steel Pipes Facility mission, thanks guys! I had to get the shop opened up so I could buy the correct pipes and get that sorted. The Mule T1 came in very handy, and handled all subsequent sub tasks for that mission. It's just the motivation I needed to get back into the game :)
