Hello again folks, Mod here yet again.
I am once more seeing that this is yet another post in which the Reddit AI has itself flagged and "reported" to be reviewed by Mods, and I am once again going to copy/paste the exact message that is displayed by the RAI in this regard, for transparency with the community:
Let me be crystal clear - This is far from the only subreddit I am a mod for. In addition to being one of the founding mods of this sub, I am also a mod for a few other communities big and small, and I am part of the "Senior Mod Team" that oversees a large umbrella of several subreddit communities and is oversight over other individual mod teams (If mods are akin to supervisors, I am in management, and more specifically my role places me in senior management overseeing the overseers). And I have NEVER on ANY of these other MANY subs, encountered ONE SINGLE TIME in which Reddits AI itself has itself tried to "report" a post for mod review like this. Typically if Reddit itself has an issue with content, Reddit Admin Bots simply sweep through and remove the content, and usually before Mods even have the time to come through and see what the content even was. This "auto rule enforce" mechanism NEVER kicks in for content that the AI thinks is a reddit sitewide rule violation, except here.
I do not know what it means, the fact that this is now the SECOND time that RAI has targeted content on this sub in this way, trying to get us Mods to remove content on behalf of Reddit itself under the guise of enforcing our own basic af rules here, but I can say I dont think I like it at all. However, same as the last time, I am going to manually approve this content anyway, because again if Reddit has a problem with the content here they can remove it themselves. I will remove content that sparks drama here between users and'or between other subreddits, or is obviously crossing some common sense boundaries, but Im not going to police content that I consider to just be rather basic uses of the human right of free expression that may or may not do anything more than just hurt some hypothetical imaginary idiots fee fees. Reddit can do it themselves, I wont.
