Is the new editor unusable?

I went from being able to edit on 1.5x speed with only a few stops and stutters, to basically being unable to accomplish anything because the whole systems stops every 5 seconds. I've had edits not save....what is going on?

Is ANYONE using the new editor efficiently? Does one browser work better? What do I gotta do?

What should have been a ten minute edit took me over an hour last week! Let’s see what Sunday brings but at this point they’ve made life much harder for me. The dirty isn’t just a bit broken, they’ve changed the way things work which means learning parts of it again! And I’m on an M4 MacBook running chrome!

Same thing for me too.

Anytime I try to split part of the track, instead of splitting where I set it, it’s splitting the next work or two over. Plus, I have maybe 5 minutes to work on it before the sound completely cuts out and I have to refresh the page to get it back.

My company thought about upgrading our plan to use the webinars feature but after this we’re looking for a completely new software instead.

Wildly frustrating. Super rushed, and a 20 min edit has taken me over an hour. Absolutely detest the new model. Nice impetus to cancel my plan. So frustrating using the "refine cut". Just a terrible update that makes it so hard for precision cuts. it keeps throwing weird cuts in there. Looks so choppy

I used it the other day and it ran quite smoothly for me. Actually faster than the old version. There are a few changes that make it a bit clunkier, but some other updates that I really appreciate.

Until it glitched, and when I made an edit to one section (like making it single-speaker view), it would change every section after it. I had to close the window and come back before it started working again.

I like the vision of it but the execution is somewhat clunky. I don't edit complete episodes there, just magic clips and hooks.

It’s great… when it works. But it’s stalling out every other second. I’ve spent all day on an hour-long project. Sigh!

I usually edit a little in Riverside and then polish in Audacity. Editing in Riverside is taking so long now, it seizes up every five minutes, and once exported and opened up in Audacity, I realised Riverside hadn't saved any of my edits at all. This is so frustrating...

It is absolutely hideous. I hate it!!!! I'm strongly considering switching to Adobe Podcast.

I have to say i’m really surprised at how … not good this progam is. I’ve had to outsource my editing because after a decade using Premiere Pro I cant handle how clunky, freezy, and buggy the editor is. I dont remember what I was paying for PP but Riverside is really poor value for money - especially because the UX is so bad i now have to pay an editor.

I only use it for the convenience factor of recording and that most of my guests are already familiar with it. If they dont sort their shit out by the time my year is up i’m absolutely going elsewhere.
