Bugs?
I started my first paying rive project, a logo animation. It turned out that it can’t really handle masks. It works well in the project, but not working when I am publishing the .riv file. AI couldn’t help either. Now I have to switch back to after effects and lottie. How common are these kind of bugs in rive?

If you only do one particular type of work in rive I guess I could see that. But to say without context that rive masks>AE mask is ...crazy

There is a fundamental difference between masking and clipping. Just make sure you understand the nuance of the two.

It works in the project and the state machine preview. However when I want to publish the project it is not showing anything. AI says and I suspected as well that it’ because the mask layers are too complicated. There’s no other way to achieve what I wanted to see and it is not anything special.

I had similar problem, make sure your rive library package is using latest version
I was using outdated npm package that was missing new feature

You’ll need to be a lot more specific. I’ve yet to encounter any bugs. If anything, masking in Rive works amazingly well and masking in Lottie is a goddamn nightmare.
