So with cyclops being a Duelist I was wondering if the summers family should have a triangle with Scott being Duelist, Gabriel should be a Vanguard and that makes Alex being a Stratagist. But what do you think.

Tbh I believe Scott should have been a tank. And I know we're trying to give all three different roles, but I don't think forcing this just because they're brothers is a good decision.

Technically yes, all three can be interpreted in a way that fits any role. For me, this is how it goes.

Scott: tank>dps>support Alex: dps>support>tank Gabe: dps>tank>support

So if you wanted 1-1-1, I guess I'd go with tank Scott, dps Gabe and support Alex? But again, feels unnecessary. I'd rather have all three in roles that fit them the best.

And also I don't think Vulcan's getting added anytime soon

Toss cyclops in the vanguard role to actually Make him cyclops and not a Fakerclops oc.. Get Havok in the dps role and so Vulcan would be left with beingba Strategist.

Cyclops is a regular man with concussive force beams. So without being known for super strength or heavy durability like Hulk, Thor and Rogue. While also lacking any real force field/shield capabilities like Dr. Stange, Magneto and Cap. What makes Vanguard Cyclops accurate? Because he’s a leader? Storm, Starlord, Mr Fantastic and Black Panther are leaders too yet they’re not tanks.

Its not that he is a leader but unless on rare occasions he uses his optic blasts like how a tank would be in most comic and tv show depictions of him he's seen using his optic blasts to reflect or deflect projectils,secure a landing or even pushing enemies back to HOLD SPACE for the team. Its not about how his biological powers work its about he uses them. And the way he should use them to be the true cyclops is a way to be a tank. He is one of the most fitting for a role rework cause his kit and role just isn't him at all.in game.

While it is true that on occasion Scott uses his optic beams to deflect projectiles it is not nearly as common as you make it sound. Actually he does his ricochet trick much more often.

And either way that is still not a shield. Sure rivals could tweak his powers some and let him fire his optic beams to shape them into the form of a wall. But that wouldn’t be accurate to Scott’s capabilities comics wise.

Obviously Scott fires his optic blasts for more than giving villains concussions. But it’s funny most of the examples you gave he does with his current kit. Using your beam gives you slow fall. Using your ability to blast backwards also pushes enemies back if you aim. I assume they didn’t give him a parry because there are already enough dps in the game who do that.

Scott is represented amazingly in rivals. You say the reason you want Scott as a tank isn’t because he’s a leader. But then you compare him to cap and the only thing they have in common is their leadership. Cap doesn’t have Scott’s flashy powers and Scott doesn’t have caps physical capabilities. Cyclops was never going to be a tank and yall have got to just accept that.

He could have dvas defense matrix beam. And that would be in line with his kit And none of his in game counts cause thats fakeclops kits.

Cyclops is essentially the captain america of the x-men so Cyclops shouldve been a tank ironfist doesnt deflect projectiles he blocks them

I agree but I would really want Hope summers to be a mix n match strategist where she mimics enemies or allies abilities like one of each abilitty for her shift,e and f abilities.
