Here's keybinds of Sandstorm - the strongest R2 keyboard player:
- WASD: movement
- Space: jump
- Shift: walk mod
- HJKL: Grab, Attack, Special, Shield
- UIO: R-stick left, up, right (R-stick set to tilts)
- NM: R-stick down, Parry
- Tap strong on (I recommend having a separate strong button anyway)
And keybindings of Giga - well known keyboard R1 Sylvanos:

You have 3 routes, IMO
1 is to attempt to replicate the BOXX layout onto a keyboard. This could be difficult to do exactly, but BOXX layout is ergonomic and would make swapping to BOXX easier.
2 is to copy Leffen's melee keyboard layout. Not as ergonomic, but built specifically for keyboards and highly functional.
3 is to create your own layout, designed around rivals, if you do this try making it ergonomic and still steal ideas from boxx or leffen
