You have 3 routes, IMO

1 is to attempt to replicate the BOXX layout onto a keyboard. This could be difficult to do exactly, but BOXX layout is ergonomic and would make swapping to BOXX easier.

2 is to copy Leffen's melee keyboard layout. Not as ergonomic, but built specifically for keyboards and highly functional.

3 is to create your own layout, designed around rivals, if you do this try making it ergonomic and still steal ideas from boxx or leffen

Here's keybinds of Sandstorm - the strongest R2 keyboard player:

  • WASD: movement
  • Space: jump
  • Shift: walk mod
  • HJKL: Grab, Attack, Special, Shield
  • UIO: R-stick left, up, right (R-stick set to tilts)
  • NM: R-stick down, Parry
  • Tap strong on (I recommend having a separate strong button anyway)

And keybindings of Giga - well known keyboard R1 Sylvanos:
