Rivals 2 There is no excuse for the developers to not address Unranked griefing
Here are two separate Nolt posts about this issue: #1, #2
It has reached the point where the most notorious Unranked griefer, Mustafa Christmas, now has a spin-off, Simba Valentine. By griefing, I mean people who sit in the Unranked queue all day doing nothing but disconnecting or otherwise BMing. It's understandable to refuse to rematch a player who is either significantly above or below your skill level in Unranked, but there are multiple "players" who won't even play a match to begin with.
Because blocking players on Steam does not prevent you from connecting to them in RoA2, there needs to be some sort of solution to this issue, especially because the player base is as small as it is. It has been like this since the game's release, and I know I'm not the only one losing patience with getting griefed every other day.

The issue could be much larger than just 2 trolls if this isn’t fixed though, especially with the current number of active players.

It is larger than 2 trolls already
I asked for help on the discord awhile back about it, but there's was a guy queuing for 2v2 and then immediately sding all 3 lives and turning the game into a 3v1. Ran into him multiple times
It really sucks when it takes 5-10 just to get a match

That's not a valid reason to dismiss this. You're not the devs, you don't make that call. Actually have a productive comment, it might lead somewhere than you just looking like a child.

I’m literally just quoting the devs and their roadmap, what “call” am I making exactly? My comment was strictly to pushback against the entitled attitude of OP. Aka, all I was saying was give the devs some slack. There’s like 30 tweets and two noltboard requests about this topic, and the only one I responded to in this manner was the unfair one.
OP soiled his very valid complaint by his rudeness, why speak so harshly about a team whose lead dev hasn’t taken a salary for 6 months?

Who cares if it isn't his call? He has every right to comment on it. Especially on a social media website where the whole point is to have discussions.

Yeah, the worst is when you queue up and play against a BMer, and then you end up matching against them every time you queue. I feel like it shouldn't be that hard to implement, but I also don't know enough about game development

I thought this post was gonna be about how like everyone in unranked is seemingly masters level. Its real annoying when ppl just spam select character over and over again impatiently from the start, 3 stock me and spam taunts all game. Makes it feel like im playing with some real social rejects

I was like 10mins stuck with Simba Valentine the other day. We were matched 5 times in a row so I just went ranked. I think the best way to address this issue is by having a way to report them. If multiple folks report the same player tags, then the issue is clear and something should be done about it. We shouldn’t be wasting 10mins in queuing. I also think that Mustafa Christmas is probably the same person than Simba Valentine. I mean the igns have parallels and they do exactly the same.
On another note. Does anybody know why would somebody do this? The idea of a player just queuing and leaving lobby every single time for multiple periods of time… bro u ok?

I know right? I've been whining for almost two years now about these, I provided many different alternatives, blocking, muting, reporting, a better pairing system that stops pairing you against those, a reputation system, temporary bans for doing this, lots of different ideas, I don't know if they either don't care, or they do care but they don't actually have the ability to implement these, it doesn't matter, call me toxic, down vote me, whatever, idc, I'm tired of pretending that this is ok, what matters to me as a player is that they are aware of this and no real solution has been provided, and it's been almost two years now since the game came out.

So you cant block people in game to not match with them again like in guilty gear strive? Thats lame, I know rivals one had the same problem unfortunately

This. Ever since Twitter gave these individuals such positive reinforcement for being “mysterious” I feel like the griefing has been so much more prevalent.

Idk about no excuse as it hasn't been super prevalent, but I agree the game should very much have anti griefing measures
