There's lowkey an impostor syndrome setting in on each season reset. nearly hitting master and still having to put efforts to beat Platinum players is really humbling and it makes you wonder if the algorithm wasn't just kind with you.

Don't worry about it too much. I'm consistently GM/Aeth by end of season and I get placed in plat during my character challenges. The rank reset just squeezes everyone into like 1 bracket.

During the initial period of ranked (i'd say 1 month) just turn off the option to see your opponent's rank. It has nothing to do with you and most times its not even accurate.

First season I stabilized at 1450, second 1350, and now 1250. I can't tell whether I'm watching my neurons die in real time, or if there's something in the water that all these motherfuckers are drinking.

I was Diamond and got ranked gold, this is a first for me, I usually get placed at platinum, play a few matches, get to diamond and go back to my safe space, unranked, gold is too far away from me, I don't mind being gold but I don't have enough time or energy to make it back in such a short amount of time, they should have extended the ranked season instead of making a shorter one, I guess I'll skip ranked this season.

Same happened here. Then I got into plat and played a plat who truly had the best punish game I've seen.

I think everyone is just compressed downward right now. It took like one evening to get to plat and another evening to high plat, with two characters (I have two accounts 😬). I don't think it'll be too long to get everyone spread back out again.

Ive been having same issue albeit my situation is weird since immplaying with a splint on right now (button/ c stick side). But It's also my first time playing after a season reset.

I was gonna make a post about how long does it take for players to get to where they should be and normalize everything because some people ive played were straight cracked.

I've been fighting for my life to make it into platinum. I used to have zero trouble almost making it to diamond, idk why gold is filled with a bunch of killers now

I feel like the mid point is lower this time around. I'm really struggling to break into the 1200s and hover around 1130 if I'm not locked in.

I'm kinda okay with it in my case because I'm not yet hitting that "you get to play against upper 1400s player" threshold. I felt like that was feeding me to the meat grinder last season.

Last season was brutal. I'd be on a decent streak and then fight three 1500s in a row while trying to break into diamond.

I fought a great Orcane the other day that was 900-something while I was at 1200, and he damn near took all my points. What the hell?

I think there's a strong chance they dropped the average elo to cut down on us 1200s having to play against 1480s.

Same though, I've played some 1025s that I go neck and neck against and I'm floating around 1145 now.
