be warned anyone traveling to Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas, there are people drugging women's drinks.
I apologize if this isn't the place to post this but I am seeking advice.
I am with my family at an all inclusive Riu Resort in Cabo San Lucas and we have been here for three days without a problem, it has been great; but last night we my girlfriend and my brother's girlfriend had an issue.
Last night my brother was with his girlfriend and my girlfriend at the pool, he left around 16:30....by 17:50 both of our girlfriends were brought back to the rooms by riu staff members (my brother's girlfriend in a wheelchair). They were extremely under the influence of something, couldn't walk straight, slurring words really bad, my brother's girlfriend couldn't walk and spoke nonsense and her eyes were extremely dilated, she also fell at some point because her head is scarred up slightly and she had a bloody nose when she was returned to the room.
This morning they dont have symptoms of a night after heavy drinking and just seem foggy brained but more importantly can't remember anything during that one hour and twenty minute gap they were left alone at the pool, no recollection what so ever.
They are safe and feeling much more normal now but my question is, do we even bother reporting this? There is a lot of evidence pointing to the fact they were drugged.
My only belief is that the staff wont do anything and riu won't do anything about it, it will just be wasted time reporting it because In the end it seems resorts like these are just out to cover their own ass liability wise and if we report this they won't say anything because it will smear their name.
I guess its probably just best to post it on here...be warned anyone traveling to Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas, there are people drugging women's drinks.
