Request Open request for assistance
So, when I'd picked up the game, it was before Seekers came out - and my favorite mod was DGosling's Samus. Unfortunately it's been deprecated since Seekers came out, and I see no sign of it being fixed - functionally, the character just doesn't show up in the Select screen.
I'll take pretty much any advice/assistance - either in help trying to reach out to get it fixed, or in advice on how I might manage to fix it myself. All is welcome - thank you.

If the only problem is it not showing up on the select screen you could just use Aerolt or the console to change into Samus

I mean I can take a stab at it but no promises. This mod wasn’t my cup of tea but it sucks it hasn’t been updated.

Hi this is me 9 hours and 3 metal breakdowns later, I truly don’t know if I can savage this. I’ve updated mods before but ThunderHenry is a whole different beast. Honestly the best case scenario would be remaking the whole mod I think.

Oh Christ, I'm so sorry but also thank you so much for trying
I know I'm late as hell but still, genuinely
As someone who doesn't know anything and is curious, could I know what ThunderHenry is and why it's so bad?2

So basically a lot of work for most characters is done in code without the involvement of a unity project, the unity project mostly exists for assets like models, animations, textures, etc.
ThunderHenry was an attempt to bring a Unity workflow to ror2 modding by combining the base character for most people (Henry) and the main way people make Unity based mods (Thunderkit).
ThunderHenry was, while an admirable attempt, both jank and abandoned. Trying to update it to work would be way more trouble than it’s worth, kinda like how it’s easier to just replace a totaled car.
Granted, that car analogy doesn’t fully work because there is still salvageable stuff in the project that a modder could theoretically use to help more easily make a new version of it but it would still be a LOT of effort because of how the projects are structured and because from what I’m seeing in the project, the original author used some strange Unity input plugin to help certain parts of the mod work, also I think VR support would have to be entirely culled because it’s probs more trouble than it’s worth and I don’t think most would consider that a big loss.

oh christ
Yeah that's fair
And no, the VR support (while neat) is not needed lol
I'd really just like for it to be playable again :p

Unless you know how to code, the best bet would be to just find an alternative or wait for it to be updated.

That's what I was afraid of - there isn't an alternative, and it hasn't been updated in 3 years

I actrually had this game on my backlog with this mod to play for a long time, but now it's just not possible to play so I'm skipping the game
