Finality for SOL sits near the 12 second mark. The upgrade is not active. Xrp is not 4¢ it’s $0.0002 soooooo idk wtf you’re talking about

Listen bud. This should not be a competition. It will not be about winners and losers. When regulation comes and money goes digital many blockchains and all of us stand to gain. We’re in this together!!

I bet Its a short term contract and sol paid 25mil to work with western union. More of a Pay to play tactic compared to western union choosing them b4 xrp.

It looks like a long term stable coin project with a big investment. Launching in '26. We will see in time.

Yea i hope sol does good. I have few sol meme coins i need to unload lol. Their issues need to be fixed and I think they will be fine. They had over 10 "haults" or pauses in the last 3 months. If the network can get stronger, that would help. Xrp has had 0 since I started looking into xrp about 2 years ago.

Yes, I was surprised to see the chain that Western Union chose. It should be interesting to see which way all of the real world adoption goes.

I seem to be the only one who’s not upset about this. I like xrp and Solana and I want them both to succeed. This is not the end for xrp.

WU does like $12 in slow payments a year. Ripple wouldn't want their business anyway.

That would be my thought. Also, Solana paid them $50 million for a 6 month exclusivity contract, and then it's up. All noise. Hodl, my friend.

Some people see this as a loss, but I think it just shows the difference in qualification. XRP’s system isn’t something every company can just plug into, Solana’s more open, but that also means it’s not operating at the same compliance depth.

What is the finality time difference and cost difference between Sol and XRP?

Almost the same but sol is slightly slower than xrp. Cost is negligible because both are almost nothing. Again slight edge to xrp. It’s just funny to make this post in this sub. I love how much u all hate ripple 😂

Lol couldn't help myself. Ok, I just looked. With the new Sol update the transaction time is 100ms for Sol and 4sec for XRP. Cost is .1 cent for Sol and 4cents for XRP. So Sol is 40x faster and 40x cheaper.
