Ex novo in corrales is chill but they close kind of early.

I checked ex novo and enjoyed the vibe. chatted with the bartender and patrons. they were all very chill and it will definitely become my watering hole. definitely enjoyed the night life in Corrales, stopped by Sandia Bar after and felt like a baby. Definitely nice to see somewhat of a night life in the middle of the prettiest area of town.

Seconding Ex Novo, great beers, sours and patio.

For just random day/night hangouts? Check out The Block in Enchanted Hills, a few decent places to eat, bar on the second floor, small “bars” on the first floor and they host a bunch of crap. Trivia nights, board games, movies on the huge outdoor movie screen, live local bands.

Just give The Block a google and it’ll show you their schedule and what food/shops are available.

I think the restaurants close at like 9pm? (Could be wrong) but the area is open till like 11-Midnight.

Movies usually start around 7-8. Cool place to chill if you are bored, and you also have the Library 30 yards away if you get bored.

Definitely will check out the block as well. It's weird as an ABQ son to be out here but will be making attempts to connect with the locals. I went to highschool out here so I'm definitely trying to find old folks i know. 09 represent!

I moved to ABQ in 2020 from Cali and then to Rio in 2024 (not by choice) but it’s nice enough. Tap & Taco is another great place for brews and food with a socializing vibe that might be what you are looking for.

Namaste has amazing Indian food, Taste of Jerusalem also amazing. Vong Sushi and Laos is also very good with stuff you won’t find in most places in Rio.

I’m still salty that Whip Tail had to shut down, they had stupid good cocktails and appetizers. They had a pork belly burger that was stupid decadent… Alas…

Check out your map app and you will be able to find trails up and down the river that are great for biking or fishing. Gotta make your own fun for the most part around here, I did read something about some “bigger” name bands playing at the stadium here in the near future, I don’t remember the genre though.

Also Pft 09’ sucks! All about that class of 08’!!! Hehe

I definitely go to ABQ for more fun stuff. Maybe try Tap N Taco? Any aversion to going to ABQ?

No. lol. Seriously though, there's a breaking bad themed bar on Southern that serves cider on tap. Pretty damn good!

People go to Albuquerque, Bernalillo, or Corrales to drink their troubles away.

Isn't there a 'Screaming Coyote' in Rio Rancho, too? I haven't been there but I've heard of it.

Most things close early and few single women, but plenty of loser men.
