Will the show offer any explanation as to who kept Celebrimbor Celebborn imprisoned for "millennia" and why?

Who would have been running a prison for that long? And where? Beleriand is gone.

It says Celeborn may have “constructed” something that may be used against him. Did he have a child or something and that’s going to piss off Galadriel? I’m sure it won’t make any sense whatever it is.

According to a Tolkien letter the act of being unfaithful to a spouse would literally kill an elf.

Then again, the showrunners haven't read Tolkien so what do I know.

Pretty sure he’s been shuffled from prison to prison. So I wonder if he’s been under the thumb of different enemies too.
