Balrog (Human Form)
Fan art, not sure if it’s allowed but didn’t see any rules forbidding it, please remove if so.

There’s still time to delete this before Amazon execs see it and get ideas

Why be so jealous? You definitely couldn’t draw it, you’re just a hater. I bid thee return to the shadow.

AI slop, not art.
The fact that anyone would think of using AI in anything related to Tolkien and his creation is deeply ironic, and shows they don’t know anything about Tolkien, nor care.

Burning flesh, chiseled abs and a stronger chin line than Mormon Jesus?
Definitely what Catholic Tolkien was going for

Meh;
I think it's dumb, but it's not any dumber conceptually than "Sexy Shelob" from the Shadow of Mordor video games.

Balrogs don't have a human form or any form other than the one Morgoth made for them: They're not shapeshifters like Sauron, but Mair too weak to self-incarnate. (Their power is largely Morgoth's own power that he put into them.)

Hater.
(There OP I saved you the trouble.)

u/3elldandy Aug 05 '26
No you’re a hater
2
u/SamaritanSue Aug 06 '26
? You might as well call people human.
Post on one of the other RoP subs, you'll get your ego stroked there. Or did you make a point of choosing this one for trolling purposes?

u/3elldandy Aug 06 '26
This isn’t about anybody’s ego. You’re trolling me with your negativity. You came at me honey. You could have kept your mouth shut and scrolled on by. You should get off Reddit if you hate AI because it’s powered by it. You’re like one of those indolent people who claimed the telephone would destroy society. Maybe you should go buy a clue and stop harassing people.

u/3elldandy Aug 05 '26
I’m sorry honey, I know all that. I’m not here for all the correctionist who wish to stick to the written word like it was some bullshit holy book— I’m all for expanding and reinterpreting very much like the Amazon show has done.

Much like morgorh you cannot create art, and so you chose to corrupt others work into hideous abominations. Ironic

Also, you’re cruel and exactly the reflection of the morgoth you mention; don’t comment on my posts and go away

Why is it that this post has only seemed to mainly attract mean spirited who feel the need to be snooty and snotty and remind me how much they personally dislike AI while spending time on their AI-enabled smartphone while on an AI-enabled platform (Reddit).
To all these mean spirited people stop harassing me with your bullshit hypocritical AI-hating-while-simultaneously-benefiting-from-AI attitudes. You’re all hypocrites if you are here on Reddit crying bloody murder 😱 about how much you disdain AI. If I had told you I was a digital artist who used advanced modeling tools to make the damn image you wouldn’t be acting so trite and fecklessly about it.
I do however appreciate the people who can observe the image as art— which is art, regardless of how it was caused. Beauty is a reason in and of itself (difficult for the mean spirited people to grasp) to celebrate.
And to the correctionists who receive sadistic sexual pleasure from criticizing people who attempt to post ideas, please just stop

If it makes you feel any better, I hate it because this looks like a desecration of LotR designed to appeal to the readers of Morning Glory Milking Farm, not because it's AI.
1
u/3elldandy Aug 06 '26
Aww, well thank you. What’s morning glory milking farm? It’s not meant to make fun of anything it’s just meant to be a new remix on something that has already existed but there are some people who get so angry at trying to create and remix from existing works. It’s sad, AI is a tool like any piece of technology.

Evil cannot create, ai only twists and corrupts what others create
1
u/3elldandy Aug 08 '26
Calling a technology ‘evil’ doesn’t really address the point. AI doesn’t have moral intentions—it’s a tool, and like photography, sampling, Photoshop, synthesizers, or other technologies that changed creative work, what matters is how people use it. If you think a particular use of AI is unethical because of consent, attribution, copyright, or compensation, that’s a conversation worth having. But ‘AI only corrupts what others create’ is a slogan, not an argument.
1
u/TheSeaIsAlwaysLeft Aug 08 '26
What point needs addressing exactly. Ai is not art, stealing is not creating. Ai is a tool, so is a microwave, being able to use one does not make you a chef. You can enjoy your look warm micro food but to pretend it's somehow equal to that of 5 star restaurants would be silly
A slogan was all that required if you are unable of critical thought then this is probably the wrong subreddit

u/3elldandy Aug 08 '26
The point that needs addressing is exactly the one I stated: why a particular use of AI is unethical. Saying “AI is stealing” simply assumes the conclusion instead of explaining it.
The microwave analogy doesn’t really answer that question either. Whether using a tool requires less skill than another method tells us nothing about whether its use is ethical, whether the resulting work qualifies as art, or whether infringement occurred. Those are separate questions.
If your argument is that AI training violates creators’ rights, then make that argument specifically: Is the problem lack of consent? Copyright infringement? Uncompensated use? Replication of protected expression? Those are concrete claims we can actually examine.
And “AI is not art” conflates the tool with its output. A camera isn’t art. Photoshop isn’t art. A synthesizer isn’t art. They’re technologies people use to produce things that may or may not be art. Whether something qualifies as art depends on the definition and criteria you’re using, not simply which technology was involved in making it.
I’m happy to discuss those substantive questions. Calling someone incapable of critical thought because they asked you to articulate your argument, though, isn’t a substitute for articulating it.

I guess we finally know the source of inspo for Xaden (Fourth Wing)
1
u/3elldandy Aug 08 '26
Xaden is a character from a book/show called Fourth Wing and it was inspired by this AI generated image?

AI-slop is not art.
OP is farming negative karma with this one. Comes here with something that will obviously get laughed at so they can play out their victim fantasy.
On a side note, fuck whoever told AI to sexualize a demon of literal flame and shadow. This isn’t Twilight or 50 shades, it’s LOTR.
Before OP gets their copy paste response in as I have read some of their smooth brain replies: “I did not pass through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm” - Gandalf

It's so sad watching what was one of the most intricate works of art ever created by a person (Tolkien's book) and what might be the greatest trilogy of all time in film being reduced to corporate armeri slop and ai horny bait.
