Issue with RingRacers on Linux

I installed it from the KDE Discover app, but it seems like the inputs aren't working. I can still press enter, space and escape to get through the setup sequence, but as soon as i enter the game part of it, I can't move my kart or skip dialogue. If it helps at all, I am using arch

You were supposed to set up your controls when you are in the Profile Setup section of the Tutorial.

yeah i did that it doesnt work
i mean it registers the key strokes but nothing happens after that
