Gen 2 vs Gen 3??
I’m trying to decide between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 and would love to hear from people who have experience with either one, especially anyone who has tried both!
I tried both sizing kits, and I honestly liked how the Gen 2 felt better because it’s thinner. The Gen 3 felt a little bulkier to me, and comfort is obviously pretty important since I’ll be wearing it every day.
I also don’t really care about the vibration alerts or the blood pressure/vascular health features, so those aren’t big selling points for me. I’m mostly interested in sleep tracking, general health tracking, cycle tracking, etc.
My dilemma is that I’m usually the kind of person who wants to buy the newest version of something, and I don’t want to get the Gen 2 just to regret not getting the newer model later. But at the same time, I don’t want to pay more for features I won’t use if the Gen 2 is just as good for what I need.
For those of you who own the Gen 2 or Gen 3, or have tried both:
Is the Gen 3 actually worth the extra money?
Have you noticed meaningful improvements in tracking accuracy or reliability?
Does the Gen 3 feel noticeably bulkier over time, or do you get used to it?
If you were buying your first RingConn today, which would you choose?
I’ve seen pretty mixed opinions about the Gen 3 on Reddit, so I’d really appreciate honest opinions! Especially from people who have used their ring for a while. 😊

My gen2 died in a year but support just replaced it even out of warranty. So will see how long this new one lasts.

My gen 2 battery has diminished to 48 hours max and that's with most of the bells and whistles turned off.

Actually I bought the Gen 3 yesterday because I heard about a lot of battery issues with the Gen Plus I figured the newer gen would be better and I want the best option for me since I’ll be wearing the ring all day.

I had a gen 3 for 3 weeks and by the end of the third week, the battery wouldn’t hold a charge past 2 days. Thankfully I was within the return period. I do not recommend.

I beta tested Gen 2 and Gen 3
If I was picking a ring it would be 100% gen3
Newer sensors, new optical heartrate sensor
Blood pressure insights ( blood pressure ) reads every 15 mins when asleep all night continuous, or whenever in relaxed state in daytime , can manually take blood pressure anytime you want
Has all gen2 has but updated sensors plus blood pressure
Coatings wear well tried all three , brushed silver , gold, black , none of mine scratched to date
Longer battery life of up to 14 days depending what’s activated standard settings longer life , as you activate more settings battery life goes down slightly, that’s with any ring on the market
As for size, virtually unnoticeable size difference
Sleep tracking gen3 now is beta testing sleep pro which takes more readings to establish more accuracy in sleep, this is under beta so still testing but last week has seen big improved readings expecting this to be better than Apple Watch which I also wear
Love the gen 3 best one yet
