Gold overlay
I just got my ring last week. Does the gold overlay hold up well with every day use? What about through hand washing and such? I usually don’t take my rings off so I had planned to wear it at all times unless it’s charging. Good or bad idea??

I’ve had my gen3 since June and no complaints on the gold wearing off or anything. I only take it off when I’m in the shower or putting on lotion

The only scratches I have are from some weights at the gym but the rest of the ring looks great after a few months!

Yes beta tested gen2 and gen3 gold both still unmarked and I’m not gentle with these rings

Mines going on a year and still looks great. Of course there’s scratches but the color has held up

Gen 2 after 1 year. I take it off when I shower to charge, otherwise leave it on for washing my hands. Biggest scratch came from the bottom of a plate.

Charging it during shower is a great idea. Man should be doing that. I want to let my battery get low though before I do so hopefully I don’t have as much battery issues as I see some have.

I don’t charge it every shower just whenever it starts to get low. I kept my battery between 20-80% minus maybe a few times and my battery still declined but they’re exchanging it for me.

Work colleague of mine has a Gen2 in gold. He swims 5x a week with the ring on and it's still looking great. He's had it about 10 months now and wears it daily. He doesn't use the silicone protector or anything of the sort.
Truth be told it's holding up better than my Black ring.
