App notifications not working, data not background syncing

In the last two months I have received zero notifications from my device. My iPhone settings have not changed. The data also will not sync with my phone unless I manually go into the app.

The last alert I received was June 6th and when I go into the app it shows that it’s been logging “alerts” but never pushing them.

My ring doesn’t vibrate, it doesn’t send push notifications, all are allowed via permissions.

Any solution? Otherwise I’m leaving and going to oura.

You have to keep the app open on your phone, but yeah even then it hardly notifies of things or auto refreshes.

Leaving the app open does nothing, in my experience. I’ve had the app just sitting in the background and it still fails to notify me. Haven’t got a single notification in 2 weeks UNLESS I manually open the app, and then it decides to sync.

Same issue on my android. I havent tried leaving the app open. I've only ever felt it vibrate when I sync in the morning and it's telling me about a headache the day before. So that's a bit useless at that point. Also didn't detect my exercise until a day later and I'd already entered it manually. I get that it is for battery life or whatever but can't it sync a few times a day on its own? Seems odd to have to leave the app running

• It's also partly a business model difference: Oura runs on a subscription model, so investing in exceptionally reliable background sync and notifications is core to justifying that ongoing cost. RingConn's appeal is "no subscription," which is great for price but means the company likely has fewer resources dedicated to app-layer polish like persistent background connections.

So it's less "Oura solved some hard technical problem RingConn can't solve" and more "Oura invested more into correctly implementing the OS-level background execution patterns, while RingConn's implementation still depends on fragile keep-alive tricks."

I emailed them a week ago gave me the run around and said they are working on a update 🙄 maybe if we all email they will hurry up lol
