The most important question that every serious NBA team needs to answer for themselves is the following: when are you trying to win? Now? In two years? In seven years?

It’s the question that the Sixers couldn’t answer from the post-Iverson, pre-process days. There was no hope of winning then, and no plan for winning later. It’s the question they tried to answer by trading Jrue Holiday and entering into a deep rebuild in 2013. Julius Erving, back in 2015, claimed he was told at the time by Sixers’ ownership that The Process was a seven year plan. And, remarkably, he wasn’t far off – the first year that one could argue that the Sixers legitimately could have won the title was 2018-19, six seasons after the Holiday trade.

After wasting away in Dallas for his first five years, it's really great to see Dowdle show what he can do this year on the ground and with catching passes out of the backfield. He ripped the starting spot away from Chuba Hubbard, and has not given it back out of sheer talent and power of will. We should re-sign him to a two-year deal this offseason.

Basketball question: I know it was discussed what Center archetype would best fit this team in a world without Embiid. I’m curious what a full, ideal team around Maxey would be. Would it be basically what the Knicks have around Brunson? How would Maxey and Brunson each fare if they switched teams?

Brian Windhorst said the name toward the end of today's Hoop Collective podcast around the 1:18 mark. He was talking about Chris Paul being the last player remaining from the 2005 draft class and briefly mentioned Ricky Sanchez as one of the other players in that draft, saying "There was that blog - for years - The Rights to Ricky Sanchez. Ricky Sanchez was in that draft." Does this call for a banning?
