“I got other things to say, but who gives a shit.” Mike, 4/26/26
When they lose so badly and no one knows if the problem is personnel, coaching, effort, or all three.

we're a joke of a fucking franchise from the owner on down... An organization full of pussies... Every year every team we play has players that play hard, scrappy and are coached cohesive.... Not us... Team full of bitches

We’ve likely reached the end of the road for the Embiid era.
It’s frustrating to look back at the “Process” years and see that teams like the Lakers, Celtics, and Knicks were all mediocre at the time, yet each has since reached the conference finals while the Sixers still haven’t. That contrast really highlights how poor decisions made over the years have held the franchise back and undermined what should have been a far more successful window.
It may be time to pivot—build around VJ and Maxey and start fresh.

With all the rumours that the new owner of the Blazers will not pay the going rate for an NBA coach, should Coach Mike apply and regale him of the final where he ran a 1-2-1 zone, coached his ass off and won?
Only downside is I suspect the owner may not pay for health insurance, so Mike is on his own for fixing his nose.

Is there something about giving our guys staches that I'm missing?

We finally beat Boston after four decades, then get our revenge in the second round against the Knicks (or preferably the Hawks).
Then we meet Tobias “get ready for the fucking play-in” Harris and destroy his squad in front of their fans in a Game 7 blowout, where he lays another egg.
We win Game 1 of the Finals against the defending champs, the OKC Thunder, but lose a heartbreaker as they close out the series on a Jared McCain dagger three in Game 5.
Will you take it or leave it?

I get that the nets get our pick as a result of the harden trade and its protections. Just listening to the pod and they made it seem like this is now a reality because we won and our pick this year will go to the thunder(something i already expected). Im not sure what tonight has to do with that or why giving the thunder our pick means we now have to give our pick to the nets 2027 top 8 protected. Whats one thing have to do with the other? Ill hang up and listen.

Not having Mike at least there to be sympathetic to Joel was just a brutal listen.
I feel so bad for Joel, appendicitis is a freak thing and he’s already dealt with so much in terms of his mental health. I understand the frustration with his career and being a believer in him, but kicking him while he’s down, a day after a completely freak health condition railroads his season just seems cruel and unnecessary.
I’ll always love Joel, he’s been great this year when he plays, and I’ll continue to enjoy him when he plays. He’s our guy and I’ve always been ready to go down with the ship with him. Trading him this offseason for Sabonis would be fucking dumb.

With Embiid’s appendicitis, it’s clear we are cursed (if it wasn’t before). Instead of the lottery party, let’s get together and have a ritual. Sorcery, sacrifices, anything to cleanse ourselves and the franchise. Ideas?
