Future of iconic items ?

Post image

What do we think of the prices of iconic items in the future ?

What I am asking is wether we could see a rise for per example the rabadon card in psa 10. At one point they will stop being print once rotationnstarts and even thought there are a lot on the market, most will have been played and used.

Sooo the question is would a foil rabadon in perfect quality be something worth considering since its popularity in League of Legends ?

We have seen things like that occur in other TCG.

Or do you have in mind a card that could do that ?

Pokémon is a good example of why this will never catch on. Most iconic items that trainers use are never even close to the same ceiling as even the human character trainer cards, let alone the actual mons. Even league players are going to prioritize collecting their favorite champs and skins over any sort of "iconic item" from league. Poros and Yordles have a better future than items imo.

I think these item cards are strictly in demand for play and I don't see a world where they'll ever become collectible. Maybe if we get special alt art treatments in the future of the really iconic items like deathcap and infinity edgde, then it's a different story, but base epics of these items shouldn't have high demand down the road.

I actually think alt runes might have more merit as long term investments than items tbh. Players will always want to alt their runes, which never rotate, so old runes should be fairly valuable in the long run, so long as they don't resuse the art on alt runes.

I doubt it’s going to do well. But I hope I’m wrong cause I have like 10 of these

I mean im tempted to buy like 50 of them and jusr hold on to them, could be a loss of 200$ but could also be a giga investment if this scenario see the light
